About this piece
Every bangle is made from a straight length of metal bent into a circle, which means every bangle has a join. The craft is entirely in making that join disappear.
The seam is fused rather than soldered — no filler alloy, so there is no line of slightly different colour to catch the light later. It is then polished through six grades until the surface is a true mirror, at which point any remaining trace of the join would be glaring. There is none.
A piece with nothing to look at except the quality of its making.
