About this piece
Pavé that wraps the whole hoop is a waste of stones — half of them face the neck and are never seen. Setting the outer face only puts every stone where it can be read and keeps the inner face smooth against the ear.
Each stone sits in its own cut seat with grains raised from the surrounding metal rather than beads soldered on, which is what keeps the surface flush enough to be comfortable.
A hinged post rather than a butterfly back — faster to put on and far harder to lose.
